Cortijo Garin is an old stone cortijo dating back to the 13th century, that has been totally restored and conserved in the traditional architectural style of La Alpujarra.
Ensconced in the Contraviesa mountains, the cortijo has excellent views directly onto Mulhacen and El Veleta as well as a marvellous panoramic of the Sierra Nevada and La Alpujarra.
The finca itself comprises 70 hectares of land, from which you can see the Mediterranean in places.
Here you can take part in various activities including, walking, climbing, horse riding, quad biking, cycling and simply relaxing amidst, at certain times of the year, the riot of colour from the various flora, including poppies, almond blossom, fig, olive and oak trees. You can also sample products from our organic garden.

Accommodation Details: The cortijo has 10 apartments with a capacity of between 2 and 8 people. The total capacity is 50 people, it is therefore ideal for group holidays or weekends.
This apartment has heating, fireplace, a fully equipped bathroom, an open plan kitchen/dining area with microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker and general kitchen equipment. Each living room is fully furnished and has a fireplace, TV, two-seater sofa bed. Each bedroom is independent; some of the bedrooms are attic rooms reached by means of large folding wooden ladders.
Other amenities include a swimming pool, a large restaurant with a wood burning oven.
Most of the fruits and vegetables used in the meals are from the finca’s own organic garden.
The old bodega (wine cellar) has been turned into a communal living area with a small library, DVD, TV and music.
You can sample some of the local wines and traditional tapas there.
In the grounds there is also an old Arabic launderette.

High Season: 2 People 60 €, 4 people 110 €, 6 people 150 €, 8 people 200 €

Additional Info: To confirm a reservation a deposit will need to be transfered to Tiempo Rural´s bank account.
The balance of the payment for the booking must be paid in cash on arrival.
Pets are welcome but a refundable deposit will be required.

There is a mini market on site selling typical products from La Alpujara incluiding honey, dried fruits, olive oils and garden fruits and vegetables.
Special prices for residents in restaurant.
