Description:

Casa Guajar is a old traditionally built house of three levels, recently restored, located at the end of a little alley close to the church square and parking. The house has a grand sense of space and light. It has many traditional features such as beams, thick walls, niche cupboards, and is well furnished. The two ground floor bedrooms are spacious, light and airy, as is the upstairs day room, which has a large double sofabed and cooking and washing facilities. The garden is large and peaceful with mature fruit trees (custard apple, sharon fruit, orange) and roses, a lawn, terraces and covered patio and a raised barbecue area as well as a 5 by 3 m swimming pool. One can reach the coast and beaches in twenty minutes, Granada, with the Alhambra and other attractions, within an hour, and the ski resorts or the Alpujarra in the same time. The climate in the valley is sub-tropical, and the winters are like an English summer (except that at nights it is chilly enough to need heating) and due to the proximity of the valley to the coast the summers are pleasant and considerably cooler than further inland.

1 large kitchen with a fireplace with a woodburning stove. There is a ceramic hob with an oven, a fridge/freezer, granite worktops, double sink, ample cupboard space, microwave oven, blender, toaster, juicer etc...

Outside: The garden is open and shady with two terraces, a covered porch and a raised platform/barbecue area, and garden furniture. There is a lawn, and mature fruit trees (custard apple, sharon fruit, orange) and rose bushes. A charming feature is an (irrigation) water channel that runs along one edge of the garden immediately adjacent to the barbecue area. On the other side of the barbecue area is a 5m x 3m swimming pool. There is a first floor roof terrace in two parts, one with a washing machine, sink and laundry facilities installed, and one with a table and chairs, and magnificent views - from the garden and the roof terraces are vistas of el Castellijo, a historic (from the time of the arab domination of Spain) ruin on a ridge on the opposite side of the valley, as well as of the mountains and Guajar Fondon, to the south.

High Season - 1 July - 15 September

A deposit will be required to confirm a reservation.

Amenities/Facilities provided: hob, stove, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, iron, ironing board, satellite tv, telephone, room fans and cot, high chair, barbecue, private pool, pets accepted.

A deposit for damages will be required on arrival, if there are no damages, this will be returned in full on departure.
