This charming 2 bedroom (with ensuite bathrooms), self-catering villa, is wheelchair friendly, purpose-built by the architect owner for the less-abled, disabled and the infirm elderly who use a wheelchair. although it is adjacent to the main house on the finca, it has all the character and charm of the other 3 ancient buildings that have been recreated as holiday cottages on this 3 hectare organic finca (farm) in the mountains at the heart of Andalucia.
With air-conditioning, satellite TV, and its own private pool in a walled garden, it is a beautiful and luxurious addition to the vacation homes that have been created amongst the olive groves in this beautiful valley. There are wonderful views of the Sierra Nevada and Sierra de Lujar.

Description:
This 3 hectare estate is uniquely situated on a tree covered ridge in the Alpujarra valley with 360-degree panoramic mountain views. These beautiful holiday cottages lie in a quiet and secluded corner of the "finca" which is set at an altitude of 480m (1500 ft). To the north rise the snow covered peaks of the Sierra Nevada , and to the south the majestic Sierra de Lujar and beyond the sparkling Mediterranean.
The area has a near perfect climate, producing olives and almonds, intermixed on the stepped terraces with oranges, lemons and pomegranates. Above the groves there are wild rocky hillsides, glorious with thyme, rosemary, gorse and broom from autumn to spring. The terraces of this fincalook their best in March, April and May, when they rival an impressionist painting, dappled with poppies and borage amongst clovers and grasses.
There are two fishponds in the garden, plus the swimming pools and an irrigation 'alberca', so we attract a lot of bird life . The arrival of the swallows, followed by the bee-eaters is a joyful experience. Hoopoes dip over the terraces and eagles and other birds of prey swoop down from the mountains. There are fabulous walks from your door through the surrounding groves and beyond to the mountains or the Guadalfeo river.
The villa has its own broadband internet connection for your own laptop. There is also a shared facility for visitors which has a computer with free high-speed internet access in a separate room on-site. This has instant access for Skype users (free telephone system).
This wheelchair-friendly rental villa is not far from the beautiful farmhouse, where the owners of the finca live and where incoming telephone calls and faxes can be received.
Access to and from a car is easy for the disabled, as vehicles can pull up right outside the front door, which is over 3ft (90cms) wide with a level threshold. Cars are parked nearby.
Inside the house the main bedroom, bathroom, living/dining/kitchen areas and the patio, garden and pool are linked by wide double doors.

The floor area of this cottage is 75m2, comprising:
2 bedrooms; 1 double & 1 twin (each with their own en-suite bathroom)
Kitchen / Dining area with a double sink, fridge, microwave, gas hob and electric oven, and a built-in dining area.
Living room with satellite TV, DVD, a CD player, fast, free internet access point (bring your own laptop) and lots of books.
Sliding French doors lead onto a shaded terrace with barbecue, a sheltered walled garden, and its own private pool that has an ecological purification system that avoids the use of chlorine. The pool has a 20cm shallow area suitable for small children, sloping down to 120cm for swimming.
The villa is well insulated and has good through natural ventilation, plus air conditioning and central air heating using an ecological heat pump. The bathrooms have heated towel rails and infrared heaters. Hot water comes from a solar panel with butane or electric backup systems.
There is a small adventure play area for young children on the estate.
The villa has its own washing machine and WIFI internet connection

MID SEASON
744 € per week; Up to 4 nights 428 €, thereafter 107 € per night
HIGH SEASON
870 € per week; Up to 4 nights 500 €, thereafter 125€ per night
Prices are based on 4 people however an additional bed can be provided for a 5th person with a supplementary fee of 63€ per week or 9 € per night
