Description:
Less than one and a half hours drive from Granada and Almeria airports. Two hours from Sierra Nevada, the largest ski resort in Southern Europe and half an hour from several good beaches. This rural working almond farm is set amidst its own vineyards, olives and fig groves, 3000 ft above sea level on the south facing Contraviesa, with spectacular views of the Mediterranean, Sierra Nevada and occasionally Africa. An hour and half away is the university city of Granada, with its 2000 year old culture including the famous Alhambra Palace and Albaicin. Orgiva, 45 minutes away, is the gateway to the Alpujarras, with its famous white Moorish villages, which cling to the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, famous for their cured hams and cheeses. There are 4 golf courses between La Jarilla and Granada and many other sporting activities from walking to hang gliding to riding and snorkeling/diving.
