This typical Basque Country farmhouse was built at the end of the 18th century, by the Jesuits, next to an old tile-making factory as a shipping point for materials destined to be hauled by carts along the roads leading to Azpeitia in order to build the St. Ignatius of Loyola Basilica.
The building which is typical of 18th century Basque architecture, is made of stone and oakwood beams.
The renovated farmhouse has been declared a place of historical heritage and in located in a quiet place nestled in Urola Valley, 3 km away from the centre of the town of Zumaia. It is a geographically privileged area, being also just 7 km. from Zarautz and 5 km from Getaria.
